Camp Logistics 2008

Camp Dates

*Four Day Weeks

 

              Week One*    June 30, July 2-4               

Week Two      July 7-11

Week Three    July 14-18

Times

 

The King Day Camp program hours are from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily.

 

Before Camp Care

$45.00

 

Our first campers arrive at 7:30 in the morning and there are staff there to sign them in until 8:45 am. This is not structured programming. There will be informal activities like cards, board games, crafts and movies offered. The children are supervised by camp staff. You must sign up for the entire week.

 

After Camp Care

$45.00

 

After Camp Care begins at 4:00 pm and runs until 5:30 pm every day. Informal activities are offered and campers are supervised by the camp staff. Children must be signed out by parents/guardians before leaving each day. You must sign up for the entire week.

 

 

Before and After Camp Care

$75.00

 

Before and After care is available. If you need both options, you must sign up for the entire week.

Drop Off (DPK)

 

Campers can be dropped off at camp each morning between 8:45 am and 9:00 am. Parents/Guardians must sign their campers in each morning at our designated area.

 

PM Pick Up (DPK)

 

Campers are to be picked up and signed out each afternoon between 4:00 pm and 4:15 pm. Any child not signed out by 4:15 pm will be taken to the After Camp Care program.

 

Busing

$60.00 (5 day weeks) or $50.00 (4 day weeks)

 

The buses arrive at camp between 8:50 am and 9:00 am. Staff are present to welcome campers with enthusiam each morning! The buses depart camp at 4:00 pm every afternoon. Bus routes are offered throughout North York, Richmond Hill, Thornhill, Newmarket and NEW this year Maple. Each bus has a camp staff member as a 'bus monitor' to help children on the bus.

 

Program Fun

 

Programs start at 9:00 am each morning and finish at 3:45 pm each afternoon. All children are engaged in their outdoor adventure programs until their designated lunch break. After lunch, children are outside enjoying their many outdoor adventure activities until they wrap-up in time for scheduled departures. During inclement weather, be it extreme heat or rain, all campers will go indoors and related programming will continue.

 

Lunch/Meal Plan Option

$60.00 (5 day weeks) or $48.00 (4 day weeks)

Meal Plan for the Badger program - $48.00

 

Campers have the option of bringing their own lunch each day or signing up for the meal plan option. Aramark Food Services will be providing the catering. Each day a cold or hot entree is available with a side dish, fresh fruit, drink and dessert. All FIELD campers eat inside the pavilion and the rest of the campers eat at picnic tables under large marquee tents.

Once the campers finish their lunches, there are interactive activity stations for the Juniors and many recreational programs for all other campers to enjoy. Snacks are not provided by the KDC.

The meal plan must be selected at the time of registration.
