STAFF IN TRAINING

Staff-In-Training must be 16 years of age by December 31, 2008.

Graduates of the LIT program who demonstrated a true commitment to camp are invited back to be SIT’s. The program will involve further leadership and skill development and immersion in the camp programs playing with campers and being mentored by camp staff. SIT’s will have the chance to specialize and spend their allotted program time in their area of interest ie. playing with the Chipmunks or sailing with the Explorers. These volunteer hours can be used to fulfill their community service volunteer requirements. SIT’s who graduate from KDC may apply to become staff members at camp the next year!

Registration for this program is done directly with the camp director. Please email your covering letter and resume to barb.weeden-carmichael@senecac.on.ca. Group interviews will be held in February prior to camp registration.

Our Staff-In-Development process has been proven to help KDC campers become staff members at not only KDC but also at other accredited OCA camps.

Session One:  June 30, 2008 to July 18, 2008

Session Two:  July 28 to August 15, 2008

Price:  $300 for the 3-week program.
